A character I made up back in 2009 was a Pokémon, (Rattata) named Roy, and he has become a favorite character of mine. I tend to like the basic Pokémon more.

Camp NaNoWriMo / JulNoWriMo Project!

Today is Day 6 of both writing contests, I'm very excited about the story I'm working on called "Steadfast." Here's the synopsis from my Camp profile:

"After losing her husband to a hungry Persian one night, a mother Rattata, Louise, tries to raise their young son, Henry, alone. However, one day, he gets captured by a Pokémon trainer and she sets out to look for him. Her search takes years of pain and heartbreak, but her steadfast love for her son pushes her on."

This story is divided into two parts, and the second part will be worked on during AugNoWriMo. I've always liked writing stories that have talking animals / non-human creatures while giving the narratives a very Christian bent. My stories tend to be huge fables or allegories of Scriptural truths, but I also like to throw in a lot of adventure, emotion, twists, and even absurdly comical moments.

I'll do my best to post on this blog at least on a weekly basis. These are the events I'll try to participate in from here on out:

JanNoWriMo (January)
NaHaiWriMo (February)
MarNoWriMo (March)
NaPoWriMo (April)
NaMayWriMo (May)
JuNoWriMo (June)

JulNoWriMo (July)
AugNoWriMo (August)
SeptNoWriMo (September)
GothNoWriMo (October)
NaNoWriMo (November)
NaNoFiMo (December)

Camp NaNoWriMo (Whatever two months they pick...)
