A character I made up back in 2009 was a Pokémon, (Rattata) named Roy, and he has become a favorite character of mine. I tend to like the basic Pokémon more.

Write-Ins beginning August 3rd!

Though I realize NaNoWriMo doesn't start until November, I want to get this started in August for those doing other writing events (AugNoWriMo, GothNoWriMo, etcetera...).

Location: West Covina Library at 1601 W. Covina Parkway, West Covina, CA 91790 (just south of the 10 Freeway)
Dates/Times: Every Saturday beginning August 3 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM

There are a lot of places to sit, and I'll be at the left side of the first floor (I'll have a little "write-in" sign near me), and there are plenty of outlets and it's pretty quiet. Here is the website for the library:

365 Project - Day 14

It's squirrel day (these two pictures are of the same exact creature)!

Beautiful Sunrise

This isn't in my 365 Project, but I just wanted to share this beautiful sunrise seen from my backyard. Our Creator never ceases to amaze me!

Camp NaNoWriMo / JulNoWriMo Project!

Today is Day 6 of both writing contests, I'm very excited about the story I'm working on called "Steadfast." Here's the synopsis from my Camp profile:

"After losing her husband to a hungry Persian one night, a mother Rattata, Louise, tries to raise their young son, Henry, alone. However, one day, he gets captured by a Pokémon trainer and she sets out to look for him. Her search takes years of pain and heartbreak, but her steadfast love for her son pushes her on."

This story is divided into two parts, and the second part will be worked on during AugNoWriMo. I've always liked writing stories that have talking animals / non-human creatures while giving the narratives a very Christian bent. My stories tend to be huge fables or allegories of Scriptural truths, but I also like to throw in a lot of adventure, emotion, twists, and even absurdly comical moments.

I'll do my best to post on this blog at least on a weekly basis. These are the events I'll try to participate in from here on out:

JanNoWriMo (January)
NaHaiWriMo (February)
MarNoWriMo (March)
NaPoWriMo (April)
NaMayWriMo (May)
JuNoWriMo (June)

JulNoWriMo (July)
AugNoWriMo (August)
SeptNoWriMo (September)
GothNoWriMo (October)
NaNoWriMo (November)
NaNoFiMo (December)

Camp NaNoWriMo (Whatever two months they pick...)

More pics!

These are the first four pictures of my 365 Project.

365 Project - Day 1

I've recently joined the 365 Project; a project where you takes at least one picture every day for one year. My first submission isn't exciting, but perhaps tomorrow's 4th of July celebrations will provide fun opportunities.
